How Complementary Care May Fit
Complementary care may be discussed as supportive to your overall digestive wellbeing. The goal is to support the body's natural regulatory processes, not to cure a gastrointestinal disease.
What This Care Does Not Do
We do not claim to cure gastrointestinal disease. Digestive conditions require appropriate medical diagnosis and management, and complementary care is offered as supportive only.
When Conventional Care Matters
Seek medical evaluation for unexplained weight loss, persistent or severe abdominal pain, blood in stool, persistent vomiting, or any concerning change in digestion. These require assessment by your medical providers.
What to Expect at an Appointment
Your first visit includes a discussion of your concerns and history, an assessment, and an honest conversation about whether complementary care is appropriate. We work alongside your existing medical care.
Your Practitioner
Amsu El, OM, Dipl. Ac., holds an Oriental Medicine Degree and is a nationally board-certified acupuncturist. His training includes the International Institute of Chinese Medicine (Santa Fe, NM) and advanced study in electro-acupuncture and meridian-based healing. Care is always individualized and grounded in understanding the whole person.
